Terms of service

These terms govern your use of ASSAY. They are written to be read, not to be skipped. If any part of them contradicts something you were told on the site, the more favourable reading for you applies.

1. Who you are contracting with

ASSAY is a trade name operated by
Juan Carlos Ortiz, an individual conducting business activity
Mexico City, Mexico
Contact: assayreport.ai@gmail.com

ASSAY is not a company, a registered investment adviser, a broker, an auditor in the regulatory sense, or a certification body. It is a software service operated by one person. Where these terms say "we", they mean that person.

2. What the service does

You upload a trade record or other material about a trading strategy. ASSAY runs a fixed set of tests against the claims that material makes about itself, and returns a report describing what could be checked, what did not survive scrutiny, and what could not be examined at all.

What the report is

What the report is not

Trading involves risk of loss, including total loss. Nothing ASSAY produces reduces that risk or should be relied on as the basis for a financial decision. Any decision you make after reading a report is yours alone.

3. What we charge and what you get

USD 19.99 per case. A case covers one set of material and stays open for 30 days from the day it is created.

What is free, always

When we do not charge

If the tests that actually run are fewer than the diagnosis announced, you are not charged. The diagnosis is an estimate made from your column names; the assay itself checks them against the data and may reach a different number. If that number is lower than what you were shown, the case is not billable.

4. Refunds

The report is delivered immediately on payment and cannot be returned. We will refund in full, on request, in any of these cases:

Write to assayreport.ai@gmail.com with your case reference. We answer refund requests within 5 business days.

We do not refund because you disliked the verdict. A report saying the claims do not hold is a delivered result, not a defect.

5. Your material and your privacy

Your file is read and deleted. It is written to a temporary location, examined, and removed as soon as the assay finishes — including when the assay fails. We do not keep it, copy it, or use it for anything else.

Only the report is kept, for 30 days. The report is text we generated. It is stored so you can return to your case and re-run it, and it is deleted when the case expires.

How your case is identified

There are no accounts and no passwords. Your case is tied to a signed cookie in your browser, valid for 30 days. We do not know who you are, and we do not ask.

If you clear your cookies or change browser, you lose access to your case — including a case you paid for. This is the cost of not asking for your email. Keep your case address if you want to return to it.

What we do not do

6. Payment

Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not see or store your card details. The provider's own terms and privacy policy apply to that part of the transaction.

Prices are shown in US dollars. Any taxes applicable in your jurisdiction are your responsibility unless stated otherwise at checkout.

7. What you agree not to do

8. Availability and limits

ASSAY is operated by one person. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may take it offline for maintenance without notice. If the service is unavailable when your case is open, the 30 days are extended by the time it was down.

Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for the case in question. We are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or decisions you made after reading a report. This limit does not apply to fraud or to anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The effective date at the top changes with them. Changes do not apply retroactively to a case you already paid for: your case is governed by the terms in force on the day you paid.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Mexico City, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring it elsewhere — in which case that right is not affected by this clause.
